In the middle of this week, "Arwen" was mated by CH Blesk od Nežárecké tůně "Bak". Mating by ICH Twigle Noor unfortunatelly didn´t take place. But as we are responsible breeders, we were prepared for the fact that our planes could not succeed, so that we had a back-up plan - another potencial sire. CH Blesk od Nežárecké tůně "Bak" also fits perfectly into our breeding plans.

The bigest and the most prestigious dog show took place in NEC in Birmingham (UK) from Thursday, the 8th March to Sunday, the 11th March. Crufts´ tradition goes back to the year 1891. It´s a big event. Even a participation in this show is an unique experience.

This Crufts in Birmingham will be memorable for czech welsh springer spaniel´s breeding because first dog and bitch breeded in Czech republic participated in it. Harry Potter Ivancice and Hermiona Granger Ivancice were these pioneers - our "magic duo" who obtained nominations, necessary for the participation in this great show, last year in Brno and Bratislava. Harry went with his masters Petra and Michal in Britain, we, Petra and Zdeněk, went with Hermiona of course.

Welsh springer spaniels were judged on Friday, the 9th March 2012 in the hall number 2, in the ring 10. It was hardly believable for us, that there were 198 welshies participating in the show. Mrs. Christine Knowles (kennel Menstonia) had the challenging task - to judge all participating dogs and bitches and to choose the most beautiful one. We could observe her really profesional achievement during all the day.

First czech welsh springer spaniels to take part in Crtufts!!!

First "our" dog to go on the green carpet in the show ring was Harry Potter Ivancice with Petra. Harry participated in the "yearling class" with another 12 dogs. Thanks to the excellent handling, Harry was one of the top five dogs and he won an excellent third prize.

Hermiona was our second dog to stand on the green carpet in the ring 10, which was the center of the dog world that day, because bitches come after dogs in every dog show. Hermiona showed herself absolutelly perfectly and she made the best impression on onlookers. But she wasn´t choosen among the top five.

Thank to everybody who helped us with our long and challenging preparation for our welshies´ participation on the Crufts. Thank cordially to everybody who congratulated us for our welshies´ succes. We are happy that we pleased them.

We weren´t the only Czech to be in the Crufts 2012. Our H litter´s sire, imported from Finland to Czech republic by Mr. Zemanek and Mrs, Matiasova, Twigle Noor had a big succes. Noor won "Special Working Gundog" class and he obtained "FIRST PRIZE".

We didn´t missed the first dog show in 2012. However, our team wasn´t so big this time. Zdeněk and Jitka took entered Hermiona and also "Arwen". Petra is at her parents so she missed the show. Gira and Ellen stayed at home too to keep an eye out for our house and to relax.
Hermiona was our only delegate amongst 9 welshies in the show. She entered in the adult working class where she showed herself in a very good mood. The judge, the president of KCHLS, Mr. Zdeněk Antonovič, liked her pretty much, so he gave her Excellent 1 and CAC and National winner title for female and CAC ČMKU. We couldn´t have imagined better start of the Chinese year of Dragon!

Hagrid Rubeus Ivančice "Brixi"

We received a great news from Easter Slovakia just before Christmas. Andrea, Brixi´s owner called us and told us "Brixi´s" HDD x-ray results. We waited for this result impatiently because we knew that he had been examined. As Andrea told us, I couldn´t be better. Hagrid Rubeus Ivančice – "Brixi´s" result is A/A.
„Brixi“ accomplished the last condition for becoming stud male in Slovakia, obtaining this beautiful result. Congratulations to both of you and thank you.
